MrMilkEPK - Mr Milk Music

Mr Milk (Must Represent My Ilk) is a London born ‘vibe’ from Sudan. He grew up between Saudi Arabia and California before moving back to the UK for university.

An MC with punchy lyrical flexibility and a broad musical palette that sees him fusing various hip hop sub genres, with dancehall, reggae and afrobeat. He delivers sharp witted social commentary and sarcastic humour wrapped in feel good music. His songs are heartfelt and conscientious without being preachy and project a certain edge and attitude without being profane. An energetic and charismatic live performer whose vocal style ranges from percussive rap flow to bluesy chanting. Whipping a crowd up and getting a party bouncing is his specialty.

He started releasing music and touring the UK and Europe in the mid 2000s, with the band True Ingredients. They, independently, released the world’s first album on sunglasses and a handful of singles, which led to a distribution/management offer from Mathew Knowles in 2014, however True Ingredients would wind up signing a deal with BBE records and releasing an Immersive album that allowed the listener to remix their music videos on an interactive app.

True Ingredients music has been featured on Radio 1, Kiss FM (live), Choice FM, RSR National Swiss Radio (live), MTV, MTV Base, Channel U, AKA, Ben TV, Brit Asia, The Breakdown, “Skins Series 2” on Channel 4 and E4, “Gumball Rally” on Extreme Channel, “Streetball Extreme”. During this period Mr Milk played almost a thousand live shows, sharing the stage or festival billing with acts like The Pharcyde, Foreign Beggars, Rodney P, Snoop Dogg, Kele le Roc, Rick Ross and Finley Quaye.
